The air flowing
through the air duct will always remain in its purest form, since the inner
surface of the ducts is covered with a layer of high purity aluminum, it will
prevent any condensation, dust accumulation or micro-organisms proliferation.
It is only to be noted that the silicone seal that is applied to the air duct
has to have a fungicide treatment.

Synergy Extruded polystyrene (XPS) is a rigid, closed-cell foam insulation that is manufactured in a continuous extrusion process under high pressure from polystyrene polymer. The closed-cell structure of this insulation offers a unique set of characteristics such as long-term and high R-value to thickness ratio, moisture resistance, and high mechanical strength. The fact that these boards does not support mold or mildew growth, makes it an excellent thermal insulator that increases the energy efficiency of buildings and structures.

Fire
Synergy XPS foam boards contain a flame-retardant additive to prevent accidental ignition from small fire source, but they are considered combustible and they may burn rapidly when exposed to an intense fire. In Iranian fire classifications, according to national standard 8299, Synergy XPS foam is classified as E which is equal to B1 in Germany standards of fire classifications.
